LO
Black+Decker
Low Ambient Temperature Protection
Dehumidifier displays LO and does not start dehumidifying
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Room temperature below operating range, Faulty ambient temperature sensor reading too low, Unit placed near cold draft or unheated space
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: LO is usually a protective indication, not a hardware failure.
Steps:
- Check room temperature: Verify the room is above the minimum operating temperature (typically 41°F / 5°C). Move the unit to a warmer area if necessary.
- Avoid cold drafts: Do not place the dehumidifier directly on cold concrete or near open windows in winter.
- Sensor check: If the room is warm but LO still shows, inspect the ambient temperature sensor and its wiring as described under E1. Replace if defective.
