Check hose routing: Ensure the pump drain hose is not kinked, pinched, or elevated beyond the maximum lift height specified in the manual.
Inspect hose outlet: Verify the hose end is not submerged or blocked. Clear any debris from the outlet.
Clean pump reservoir: Remove the bucket and locate the internal pump reservoir (if accessible). Clean out slime, mold, or debris that may block the pump inlet.
Test pump operation: With the unit reassembled, plug in and activate pump mode (if selectable). Listen for the pump motor. If it does not run when water is present, the pump or its float switch may be faulty.
Check wiring: Inspect the pump motor connector and float switch wiring for damage or loose connections.
Replace pump assembly: If the pump motor is seized or open-circuit, replace the complete condensate pump assembly designed for your Black+Decker model.
