Possible Causes
Failed ultrasonic transducer disc, Mineral scale buildup on transducer, Low water level or empty tank, Faulty driver circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier before cleaning. Do not touch the transducer while powered.
Steps:
- Check water level: Ensure the tank is filled and properly seated on the base.
- Clean transducer: Turn the base upside down and locate the metal disc (ultrasonic transducer). Gently clean with a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar to remove mineral deposits. Do not scratch the surface.
- Descale tank: Rinse the tank with a vinegar solution to remove scale.
- Test again: Refill with clean water and test. If there is still no mist, the transducer or driver circuit may have failed.
- Replace transducer module: On some models, the ultrasonic transducer module can be replaced. Otherwise, the entire base assembly may need replacement.
