Humidifier smells musty or like mildew

Safety: Unplug before cleaning.

Steps:

• Empty and rinse: Discard old water and rinse the tank and base.
• Disinfect: Fill the tank with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of bleach per gallon of water. Let sit for 20–30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly until odor is gone.
• Drying: Allow components to air dry before refilling.
• Maintenance: Clean the humidifier at least weekly during use.
