Water overflows from the bucket even though the unit should shut off when full

Safety: Unplug the unit and mop up any spilled water before servicing.

Steps:

• Inspect float mechanism: Remove the bucket and locate the float. Ensure it is intact and moves freely. Replace if broken.
• Check magnet (if used): Some floats use a magnet to trigger a reed switch. Ensure the magnet is still attached to the float.
• Test bucket full switch: With a multimeter, test the switch for proper operation as the float moves. Replace the bucket full switch if it does not change state.
• Inspect wiring: Ensure the switch wires are not shorted together, which would prevent the unit from sensing a full bucket.
