Dehumidifier bucket fills too quickly or overflows

Safety: Unplug before handling water buckets or hoses.

Steps:

• Check bucket seating: Remove and reinstall the bucket, ensuring it is fully inserted and engages the bucket full switch lever.
• Inspect float switch: Locate the bucket full float and switch. Ensure the float moves freely and is not stuck by dirt or scale.
• Continuous drain setup: If using a hose, ensure it slopes downward continuously to a drain and is not kinked or blocked. Flush the hose with water to clear clogs.
• High humidity conditions: In very damp spaces (e.g., basements), frequent bucket filling can be normal. Use the continuous drain option if available.
• If bucket overflows without shutting off: The bucket full float switch may be defective or misaligned. Adjust or replace the switch assembly.
