Dehumidifier displays 'FILTER' or filter icon and may beep

Safety: Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.

Steps:

• Remove the air filter: Access the rear or side grille and slide out the filter.
• Clean the filter: Vacuum off dust, then wash with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
• Clean coils and grilles: Use a soft brush or vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust from the evaporator and condenser fins (do not bend fins).
• Reset the filter indicator: Press and hold the filter reset or timer button as specified in the manual until the indicator clears.

If airflow remains weak after cleaning, the fan or motor may be obstructed or failing (see separate fan fault entry).
