How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel.
Steps:
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes and reconnect. Sometimes this clears minor glitches.
- Dry the panel: If the panel was exposed to water (e.g., cleaning spray), allow it to dry completely for 24 hours in a warm, dry place.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Open the housing to access the control panel PCB. Reseat the ribbon cable or connector between the panel and main board.
- Check for corrosion: Look for white/green corrosion on the control PCB. Light corrosion can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Replace control panel PCB: If buttons remain unresponsive or random, replace the display/control PCB with a compatible BONECO part.
