Possible Causes
Loose communication harness between display and main board, Damaged ribbon cable, Faulty display PCB, Faulty main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the Camry dehumidifier from mains power before opening the cabinet.
Steps:
- 1. Power cycle: Unplug for 10 minutes, then reconnect. If E6 returns, proceed.
- 2. Access control area: Remove the top or front cover to expose the control panel and main PCB.
- 3. Inspect communication cable: Locate the multi-wire harness or flat ribbon cable running from the display PCB to the main control PCB. Check for pinched, cut, or burnt sections.
- 4. Reseat connectors: Disconnect the harness at both ends, inspect for bent pins or corrosion, then firmly reconnect. Ensure the connector latches are fully engaged.
- 5. Visual inspection of PCBs: Look for burn marks, swollen components, or cracked solder joints on both boards.
- 6. Replace suspect board: If wiring is intact and E6 persists, replace the display PCB first (often easier and cheaper). If that does not resolve the issue, the main control PCB may need replacement.
Note: Always order Camry-specific control boards using the full model and serial number to ensure compatibility.
