How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening. Avoid touching PCB components when powered.
Steps:
- 1. Identify source: Carefully listen to locate whether the noise comes from the humidifier ultrasonic module, main PCB, or fan area.
- 2. Tighten mounts: Ensure the ultrasonic module and PCB are firmly screwed down. Add insulating washers if necessary.
- 3. Replace noisy module: If the ultrasonic transducer is excessively loud, replace the ultrasonic humidifier module.
- 4. PCB replacement: Persistent coil whine from the main PCB may require replacing the main control PCB.
Note: Some faint high-frequency noise is normal for ultrasonic devices, but it should not be loud or irritating.
