How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel.
Steps:
- 1. Dry the panel: If the unit was exposed to water or high condensation, allow the control panel to dry for several hours with power disconnected.
- 2. Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front/top panel and check the flat cable between the keypad and main board. Reseat it firmly.
- 3. Check for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on the keypad board. If present, the UI board may need replacement.
- 4. Replace UI board: Install the correct Carrier user interface board if buttons remain unresponsive.
