Steps:

• Verify environment: In very damp spaces (e.g., drying laundry rooms), HI may be normal. Improve ventilation if possible.
• Relocate unit: Move the dehumidifier to a more central location away from direct water sources.
• Clean humidity sensor: Access and gently clean the sensor module. Ensure nothing is blocking airflow around it.
• Replace sensor if reading is clearly wrong: If the room does not feel extremely humid but HI remains, replace the humidity sensor module.
