Dehumidifier emits a musty or moldy odor from the air outlet.

Safety: Unplug the unit. Wear gloves and a mask if sensitive to mold.

• Clean bucket: Wash the water bucket with warm soapy water and a small amount of bleach. Rinse thoroughly.
• Clean filter: Wash and dry the air filter.
• Coil cleaning: Access the evaporator coil and use a non-corrosive coil cleaner suitable for aluminum. Follow product instructions and avoid soaking electrical parts.
• Dry the unit: After cleaning, run the fan-only mode (if available) for 30–60 minutes to dry internal surfaces.
