How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the control panel or main board.
- Power cycle: Disconnect power for 10 minutes and reconnect. If E6 reappears, inspect the control wiring.
- Access control panel: Remove screws securing the top or front control panel bezel. Carefully lift the panel to expose the ribbon cable or harness.
- Check connections: Ensure the ribbon cable is fully seated in both the control panel and main PCB connectors. Gently remove and reinsert the cable to clean contacts.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracks on the control PCB, corrosion on connectors, or signs of liquid intrusion.
- Replace control panel: If the cable is intact but E6 persists, replace the Comfee control panel/display board assembly.
- Main PCB replacement: If a new control panel does not fix the issue, the main control board is likely defective and should be replaced.
