How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and carefully remove the tank to avoid spilling more water. Dry the base with towels.
- 1. Inspect tank valve:
- Look at the spring-loaded valve on the bottom of the tank.
- Check the rubber seal for cracks or deformation.
- 2. Clean valve area:
- Rinse away any debris or mineral buildup around the valve.
- 3. Check tank neck fit:
- Ensure the tank sits correctly on the base and the valve aligns with the base inlet.
- 4. Test over a sink:
- Fill the tank, install the cap, and press the valve pin over a sink to confirm it opens and closes smoothly.
- 5. Replace tank or valve assembly:
- If the valve does not seal properly, replace the tank or valve assembly as supplied by Crane.
