Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.

1. Dry the panel:
- Wipe the control panel with a dry, lint-free cloth.
- Allow the unit to sit unplugged for several hours if condensation is present.
2. Move away from interference:
- Relocate the humidifier away from strong RF sources (routers, microwaves) and other appliances.
3. Inspect connections:
- Open the housing and reseat the ribbon cable between the control panel and main PCB.
4. Replace control panel:
- If phantom touches continue, replace the touch control panel assembly.
