Crane dehumidifier shows E2 and shuts down shortly after starting.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing panels.

• 1. Access evaporator sensor:
  • Remove the front or rear cover to expose the evaporator coil.
  • Locate the small sensor clipped to the coil fins.
• 2. Verify placement:
  • Ensure the sensor is firmly clipped to the coil and making good contact.
• 3. Inspect wiring:
  • Check the sensor cable for cuts or pinches.
  • Confirm the connector is secure on the control PCB.
• 4. Replace sensor:
  • If E2 remains, replace the evaporator temperature sensor with the correct Crane part.
• 5. Test operation:
  • Reassemble and run the unit; if E2 still appears, the control board sensor circuit may be defective.
