Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning. Avoid inhaling dust or mold; wear a mask and gloves if sensitive.

• Step 1 – Clean bucket: Remove the bucket and wash thoroughly with warm water and mild detergent. For heavy odors, use a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water. Rinse and dry.
• Step 2 – Clean drain path: Use a small brush or pipe cleaner to scrub the drain outlet and any accessible channels where water flows.
• Step 3 – Clean filter and grilles: Wash the air filter and vacuum dust from grilles.
• Step 4 – Coil cleaning (advanced): Remove the cover to access the evaporator coil. Lightly spray a non-rinse coil cleaner approved for aluminum fins, following product instructions. Do not soak electrical parts.
• Step 5 – Drying run: After reassembly, run the unit in a dry, ventilated area for several hours to help clear residual odors.
