Dehumidifier displays CF after long runtime

Note: CF on many Danby dehumidifiers is a reminder to clean the air filter, not a failure code.

• Step 1 – Turn unit off and unplug: Always disconnect power before removing the filter.
• Step 2 – Remove and clean filter: Slide out the air filter from the rear or side. Wash with warm, mild soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
• Step 3 – Clean grilles: Vacuum dust from the intake and exhaust grilles to improve airflow.
• Step 4 – Reset indicator: Press and hold the filter reset button (or as specified in the manual) to clear the CF message.

When to call a technician: No technician is needed for CF unless the unit shows other error codes or fails to run after cleaning.
