Possible Causes
Loose wiring harness between display board and main PCB, Damaged communication cable, Oxidized connectors, Faulty display PCB or main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel. Avoid static discharge to electronic boards.
Step-by-step:
- 1. Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect. If E6 reappears immediately, continue.
- 2. Access control area: Remove screws securing the top/front panel to expose the display board and main PCB.
- 3. Check harness connections: Locate the multi-wire cable connecting the display board to the main PCB. Unplug and replug both ends several times to clean contacts.
- 4. Inspect cable: Look for pinched, cut, or twisted sections. Replace the cable if any damage is visible.
- 5. Check for moisture or corrosion: If there are signs of condensation or corrosion on the boards, gently clean with a dry brush. Do not use water. Allow everything to dry thoroughly before reassembly.
- 6. Board substitution: If wiring is intact and E6 persists, either the display PCB or main PCB is defective. Replacement of one or both boards is required and should be done by a technician.
