Possible Causes

Failed compressor relay on main PCB, burnt relay contacts, damaged PCB trace to compressor, wiring harness fault to compressor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit. Work on mains circuits only if you are competent and equipped.

F2 indicates the control cannot correctly drive or sense the compressor output.

  • Visual PCB inspection: Access the main control PCB and look for a relay labeled for the compressor. Check for burn marks, cracked solder joints, or damaged traces.
  • Check compressor wiring: Inspect the harness from the PCB to the compressor for loose connectors or burnt insulation.
  • Relay replacement (advanced): If the relay is visibly damaged or tests faulty, it can sometimes be replaced individually by desoldering and soldering a new identical relay. Many users instead replace the entire main control PCB.
  • Replace main control PCB: If you are not comfortable with component-level repair, replace the whole Devola main PCB with the correct part number.
