Possible Causes

Failed ultrasonic transducer disc, damaged transducer driver circuit on PCB, corroded transducer wiring, moisture-damaged control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the humidifier before opening the base.

H3 indicates a problem with the ultrasonic mist generator.

  • Visual inspection: Remove the tank and inspect the transducer disc for cracks, discoloration, or pitting. Replace if damaged.
  • Check wiring: Access the base and follow the wires from the transducer to the control PCB. Ensure connectors are secure and wires are not corroded.
  • Dry the electronics: If there are signs of water ingress on the PCB, allow it to dry thoroughly. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
  • Replace transducer module: If the disc is intact but H3 persists, replace the entire ultrasonic transducer module or base assembly specified by Devola.
  • PCB replacement: If a new transducer does not resolve H3, the driver circuit on the main PCB is likely faulty and the PCB should be replaced.
