Possible Causes
Failed internal humidity sensor, loose sensor connector, sensor contaminated by condensation, main PCB sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening the housing.
H4 indicates a problem with the humidifier's humidity sensor.
- Locate the sensor: On Devola humidifiers, the humidity sensor is usually near the air outlet or on a small board inside the housing.
- Inspect and clean: Check for visible condensation or deposits on the sensor. Gently dry and clean around it with a soft, dry brush.
- Check connection: Ensure the sensor's connector is firmly seated on the PCB and the cable is not damaged.
- Replace sensor: If H4 persists, replace the humidity sensor module with the correct Devola part.
- PCB fault: If a new sensor does not clear H4, the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
