Possible Causes
Room temperature above specified range, blocked air inlet/outlet, faulty ambient temperature sensor reading too high
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
HI indicates the ambient temperature is very high or the sensor is reading excessively high.
- Measure room temperature: Use a separate thermometer. If the room is above the Devola maximum (often ~32–35°C), relocate the unit to a cooler area.
- Improve airflow: Ensure the inlet and outlet grilles are not blocked and that the unit has the recommended clearance.
- Check and clean filter: A clogged filter can cause internal heat buildup. Wash and dry the filter before reinstalling.
- Sensor fault: If HI appears in a normal-temperature room, inspect and possibly replace the ambient NTC sensor.
