Possible Causes

Misaligned water tank, stuck tank float, faulty tank full microswitch, broken tank level magnet, damaged tank switch wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before internal inspection.

P2 indicates the control believes the tank is full or missing.

  • Reseat the tank: Remove the tank and reinstall it carefully, ensuring it slides fully into place. Some Devola tanks must be pushed until a click is felt.
  • Inspect tank components: Check for a small float or magnet inside the tank that interacts with a reed switch or sensor in the cabinet. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck with scale or dirt.
  • Check the tank switch: With the tank removed, locate the tank full switch or sensor in the cavity. Press it gently; it should move and click. If it is jammed or broken, it must be replaced.
  • Clean contact areas: Wipe any moisture or dirt from the tank seating surfaces that might prevent proper engagement of the switch.
  • Replace faulty switch: If P2 persists and the switch does not change state when pressed (tested with a multimeter), replace the Devola tank full microswitch or reed sensor.
