Possible Causes
Open-circuit fan motor winding, Seized fan bearings, Faulty fan capacitor (if used), Failed fan relay on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. Do not run the compressor without the fan; this can cause overheating.
Steps:
- Access the fan motor and attempt to spin the fan by hand. If stiff or seized, the motor must be replaced.
- Check the fan motor wiring and connector at the PCB. Reseat and inspect for damage.
- If your model uses a separate fan capacitor, test it with a capacitance meter and replace if out of tolerance.
- Measure the motor winding resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Replace the fan motor assembly with a Dimplex OEM part, ensuring correct wiring and rotation direction.
