Possible Causes

Misaligned water bucket, Sticking bucket float, Faulty bucket full switch, Warped bucket not engaging switch properly

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before removing the bucket.

Steps:

  • Remove and reinsert the water bucket, ensuring it is fully seated and level. Listen for a click from the bucket switch as it engages.
  • Inspect the float mechanism inside the bucket and the actuator lever that presses the switch. Clean away any slime or debris.
  • Access the bucket switch area and test the bucket full switch with a multimeter while pressing the actuator. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
  • If the bucket is warped and cannot reliably engage the switch, replace the bucket with a Dimplex OEM tank.
