Possible Causes

Blown internal fuse on main PCB, Faulty power cord or plug, Failed main control PCB power supply section

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and verify the wall outlet with another appliance before assuming the dehumidifier is faulty.

Steps:

  • Inspect the power cord for cuts, burns, or loose plug blades. Replace the cord set if damaged.
  • Remove the control panel or rear cover to access the main control PCB. Locate the onboard fuse (usually a glass or ceramic fuse).
  • Test the fuse with a multimeter. If open, replace it with the same type and rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a deeper fault (shorted component) that needs professional diagnosis.
  • Check for burnt components or bulging capacitors on the PCB. If present, replace the entire main PCB with a Dimplex OEM board.
  • Reassemble and test. If there is still no power, further diagnosis of the power supply circuitry is required by a qualified technician.
