Dehumidifier or humidifier display shows HI for temperature or humidity and may not control properly

Safety: Typically no internal repair is needed unless HI persists under normal conditions.

Steps:

• Move the appliance away from direct sunlight, heaters, or steam sources (kettles, showers) that can drive readings to maximum.
• Ventilate the room to reduce extreme humidity or temperature.
• If HI remains even in normal conditions, inspect and test the humidity and temperature sensors. Replace the faulty sensor module or main PCB as required.
