Possible Causes
Partially scaled ultrasonic transducer, Partially blocked water inlet or outlet channels, Fan speed lower than normal due to dust buildup, Incorrect humidity sensor readings limiting output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning.
- 1. Deep clean water path: Descale the base and transducer with a 1:1 vinegar-water solution as per the user manual. Rinse thoroughly.
- 2. Clean air passages: Vacuum or brush all intake and outlet vents. Reduced airflow can limit mist distribution.
- 3. Bypass auto mode: Set the unit to continuous or maximum manual output (if available) to see if performance improves. If auto mode limits output, the humidity sensor may be misreading.
- 4. Check room size and placement: Ensure the unit is appropriate for the room size and not placed in a corner or under a shelf where mist cannot circulate.
- 5. Persistent low output: If performance remains poor, the transducer or fan motor may be worn and require replacement.
