Possible Causes
Water leak into base tray, Triggered leak detection sensor, Cracked internal hose or reservoir, Damaged tank seal or O-ring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit immediately if you suspect a leak. Do not operate a humidifier with water inside the electrical base.
- 1. Remove tank and inspect: Take off the water tank and inspect the base for standing water. Use paper towels to soak up any water in the base tray.
- 2. Dry thoroughly: Tilt the unit gently to drain any trapped water (avoid flipping it upside down). Allow the base to air-dry for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry area.
- 3. Inspect tank and seals: Check the tank for cracks, especially around the cap and bottom. Inspect O-rings and gaskets on the tank cap and base connection. Replace any visibly damaged seals.
- 4. Reassemble and test: Once completely dry, reinstall the tank and test. If F10 returns quickly or you see new water in the base, there is an active internal leak.
- 5. Internal leak repair: Internal hoses, manifolds, or the base reservoir may be cracked or loose. Repair requires disassembly of the water path and should be done by a qualified technician.
