Possible Causes

Failed ultrasonic transducer disc, Loose or corroded transducer wiring connector, Mineral scaling on transducer surface, Faulty transducer driver circuit on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank before working on the base.

  • 1. Inspect water quality and scaling: Remove the tank and look into the base where the ultrasonic transducer sits. If you see heavy white mineral deposits, the transducer may be scaled over.
  • 2. Descale the transducer area: Prepare a 1:1 solution of white vinegar and warm water. Pour enough into the base to cover the transducer area (do not overfill). Let it soak for 20–30 minutes. Gently wipe the transducer surface with a soft cloth or cotton swab—do not scratch it. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry.
  • 3. Reseat connectors (advanced): If accessible without fully disassembling, check that the small wiring harness to the transducer is firmly seated. Do not pull on the wires; use the connector body.
  • 4. Test operation: Reassemble, refill with clean, preferably distilled water, and power on. If F2 persists, the transducer or its driver circuit is likely failed and must be replaced.

Note: Operating with hard tap water accelerates transducer failure. Use distilled or demineralized water to extend life.
