Possible Causes
Worn or damaged keypad membrane, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Failed user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.
Steps to restore button function:
- Dry the panel: If the panel has been exposed to moisture, allow it to dry completely. Do not use heat guns directly on the electronics.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Open the control panel and carefully disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the keypad and main board.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for green or white corrosion on connectors and clean gently with contact cleaner.
- Replace UI board: If specific buttons never work or the panel is physically damaged, replace the user interface (control) board or keypad membrane as a complete assembly.
Note: Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the control panel; apply to a cloth first.
