Possible Causes
Burned-out fan motor, Obstructed blower wheel, Faulty fan capacitor (if used), Loose or damaged fan wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit. Never work near the fan while it is powered.
Steps to fix fan issues:
- Check for obstructions: Remove front/rear grilles and inspect the fan blades or blower wheel for foreign objects. Remove any debris.
- Spin test: Try spinning the fan by hand. If it is stiff or seized, the motor bearings are likely bad and the motor should be replaced.
- Inspect wiring: Verify the fan motor connector is secure on the main board and that wires are intact.
- Test motor: With the motor disconnected, measure resistance across its windings. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Replace fan motor: Remove mounting screws, detach the fan blade or blower wheel, and install a new OEM Electrolux fan motor.
Warning: Operating the compressor without a working fan can cause severe overheating and damage.
