Possible Causes
Misaligned bucket not engaging switch, Stuck bucket float, Faulty bucket full switch or reed sensor, Magnet missing from bucket (on magnetic systems)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the bucket area.
Steps to fix false bucket full:
- Reseat bucket: Remove and reinstall the bucket, ensuring it is fully inserted and level.
- Inspect float: Check the float mechanism inside the bucket for free movement. Clean any buildup that may cause sticking.
- Check magnet/sensor: On models with a magnetic reed switch, verify the magnet is still attached to the bucket and aligned with the sensor location.
- Test switch: Manually actuate the switch or place a magnet near the reed sensor and see if the indicator clears. If not, replace the bucket full switch.
Warning: Do not tape or bypass the switch; this can lead to water overflow.
