• Inspect sensor location: Make sure the ambient sensor is not touching hot components or placed where it reads incorrectly (e.g., near condenser exhaust).
• Test sensor: With power off, measure the resistance of the ambient sensor and compare to expected values. Replace if out of range.
• Inspect wiring: Look for shorts to metal parts or damaged insulation along the sensor wires.
• Replace control board: If the sensor and wiring are good but F2 persists, the main control board may be defective.

Warning: Do not relocate the sensor away from its designed position; this can cause improper operation.
