Possible Causes
Room temperature below minimum operating limit, Ambient sensor reading too low due to draft, Faulty ambient temperature sensor reporting low value
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the unit is unplugged before moving it.
Steps to resolve LO:
- Check room temperature: Use a thermometer to verify the actual room temperature. If below 41°F (5°C), move the unit to a warmer location.
- Avoid cold drafts: Do not place the dehumidifier directly on cold concrete or near exterior doors where cold air can affect the sensor.
- Inspect ambient sensor: If the room is warm but LO still shows, check the ambient sensor for proper placement and damage (see F2 procedure).
- Replace sensor if needed: Install a new ambient temperature sensor if the old one reads incorrectly.
Note: LO is often a normal protection feature; the compressor will not run in very cold conditions to prevent icing.
