How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the humidifier. Wear gloves if you are sensitive to mold.

Steps to eliminate odor:

  • Disassemble and clean: Empty the tank and base. Wash all removable parts with warm soapy water.
  • Disinfect: Soak the tank and base in a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water for 20–30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Clean filters: Replace wick filters or pre-filters if they are discolored or smell musty.
  • Dry between uses: Allow the unit to dry completely when not in use to prevent regrowth.

Note: Follow Electrolux's recommended cleaning interval, often weekly, to prevent odors.
