• Soak with vinegar: Fill the base with a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution. Let soak 30–60 minutes.

• Rinse thoroughly: Rinse several times with clean water to remove vinegar and debris.
• Replace wick: Install a new Essick Air wick if the old one is scaled.
• Consider water treatment: Use Essick Air water treatment additives or distilled water to reduce future scale.
