How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset breakers. Unplug the unit immediately. Water and electricity are dangerous together.

Inspect for water leaks: Check for signs of water inside the control or fan area. Dry thoroughly if present and identify the leak source.
Check power cord: Look for cuts or crushed sections. Replace if damaged.
Isolate components: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the fan motor harness from the board. Plug the unit in and turn it on. If the breaker no longer trips, the fan motor is likely shorted and must be replaced.
Inspect control board: Look for burnt components or traces. Replace the board if damaged.

If you are not experienced with electrical troubleshooting, have a qualified technician perform these checks.
