Dehumidifier humidifier (if combo) does not produce mist or add moisture

Safety: Unplug the unit before servicing the humidifier section.

Steps:

• Check water tank: Ensure the tank is full, properly seated, and any float or valve is functioning.
• Clean transducer/wick: For ultrasonic types, gently clean the transducer with a soft cloth and white vinegar. For evaporative types, inspect and replace the wick filter if crusted with mineral deposits.
• Inspect humidifier fan: Confirm the small fan dedicated to humidifier output runs when humidifier mode is selected.
• Descale: Use a manufacturer-approved descaling solution to remove mineral buildup from water paths.
• Control board: If all components are clean and functional but no output, the humidifier control circuit on the board may be faulty and require replacement.
