Steps to reduce noise:

Check placement: Ensure the dehumidifier is on a solid, level surface. Avoid hollow platforms that can amplify vibration.
Tighten panels: Inspect and tighten all accessible screws on the cabinet and handle. Add thin foam tape between rattling panels if needed.
Inspect fan assembly: Remove the front or rear panel to access the fan. Check that the fan blade or blower wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not rubbing against the housing.
Check for debris: Remove any foreign objects (plastic, leaves, etc.) caught in the fan or grille.
Compressor mounts: Inspect rubber grommets under the compressor. If they are deteriorated or missing, replace them to reduce vibration.
Replace fan motor: If the fan motor squeals or grinds, replace the fan motor assembly.
