Low Temperature Lockout
Dehumidifier display shows LO and unit will not start dehumidifying
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Room temperature below operating range, Ambient sensor reading too low, Unit placed near cold floor or exterior wall, Faulty ambient temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Understanding LO: LO usually indicates the sensed room temperature is too low for operation.
Steps to address LO:
- Verify room temperature: Use a separate thermometer. If the room is below about 65°F (18°C), move the unit to a warmer location.
- Relocate unit: Avoid placing the dehumidifier directly on a cold concrete floor or against an exterior wall. Elevate it on a small platform or table.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the ambient sensor is in the airflow, not touching cold metal surfaces.
- Replace sensor: If the room is warm but LO persists, replace the ambient temperature sensor.
