How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before removing the control panel.
Steps to restore display:
- Check brightness setting: Some models allow dimming; verify it is not set to minimum.
- Access control panel: Remove screws and gently lift the panel to expose the display board and ribbon cable.
- Reseat cable: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the display and main board.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for moisture or corrosion on the display board. If present, replace the display / user interface board.
- Main board voltage: If you have a meter, verify the main board is supplying the correct low voltage to the display connector. If not, replace the main control board.
