Possible Causes
Clogged internal drain channel, Misaligned bucket, Kinked or improperly installed drain hose, Cracked bucket or drain pan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. Mop up any spilled water to avoid slipping.
Steps to stop leaks:
- Check bucket: Remove and inspect the bucket for cracks or overfilling. Replace a damaged water bucket.
- Clean drain channel: With the bucket removed, locate the drain hole at the back of the bucket cavity. Use a small brush or pipe cleaner to clear any slime or debris.
- Inspect drain hose (if used): Ensure the hose is securely attached to the drain outlet, slopes downward continuously, and is not kinked.
- Level the unit: Make sure the dehumidifier is level so water flows correctly into the bucket or hose.
- Check internal drain pan: If accessible, inspect the plastic drain pan under the coil for cracks. Replace the drain pan if leaking.
