How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel or covers.
Steps to address E6:
- Access the control panel: Remove screws securing the top or front control panel. Carefully lift it to expose the wiring harness.
- Check harness connections: Locate the multi-pin connector between the display board and main control board. Unplug and replug the connector several times to clean contacts. Ensure it is fully seated and the locking tabs engage.
- Inspect wiring: Look for pinched, cut, or burned wires in the harness. Replace the control panel wire harness if damaged.
- Check for moisture: If the control area shows signs of moisture or corrosion, dry it thoroughly and clean light corrosion with electronics cleaner.
- Component replacement: If E6 persists, first replace the user interface / display board. If that does not resolve the issue, replace the main control board.
