Possible Causes
Extremely high room humidity, Humidity sensor contamination, Sensor shorted or out of range, Control board misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps to address HI:
- Verify actual humidity: Use a separate hygrometer. If humidity is indeed very high (above 90%), the reading may be accurate and the unit will run continuously until humidity drops.
- Improve room conditions: Close windows and doors, reduce open water sources, and improve room ventilation.
- Clean sensor: Remove the front grille and gently clean dust from the humidity sensor using compressed air.
- Inspect wiring: Check the humidity sensor harness for damage. Replace the humidity sensor if HI persists in a normal-humidity environment.
