How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage plastic or coils.
- Clean bucket: Wash the water bucket with warm soapy water and a small amount of white vinegar. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Disinfect drain pan: Access the evaporator drain pan and wipe it with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution (1 part bleach to 10 parts water). Rinse and dry.
- Clean filter and coils: Wash the air filter and gently clean the evaporator coil with a coil cleaner approved for aluminum fins.
- Flush pump tray (if equipped): Clean the internal pump reservoir and float area to remove slime.
- Run in fan-only mode: After cleaning, run the unit in fan-only mode for 30–60 minutes to help dry internal components.
