Possible Causes
Burned-out fan motor, Seized fan bearings, Obstructed fan blade, Faulty fan capacitor (if used), Loose fan motor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit. Fan blades and metal edges can be sharp; wear gloves.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect intake and exhaust grilles for foreign objects. Remove any debris.
- Spin fan by hand: Access the fan and gently spin it. If it is stiff, noisy, or does not spin freely, the motor bearings may be seized.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan motor harness is securely connected to the PCB and not damaged.
- Test capacitor (if present): Some Haier models use a capacitor for the fan. Test and replace if out of spec.
- Replace fan motor: If the motor is seized or does not run when powered, replace the fan motor assembly and, if needed, the fan blade.
