Dehumidifier is very noisy during operation; rattling, buzzing, or grinding sounds.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before tightening or adjusting any parts.

• Identify noise source: Run the unit briefly with covers on and listen to locate the general area of the noise (top, back, side).
• Check fan blade: Remove the cover and inspect the fan blade for cracks or wobble. Tighten the set screw or clip on the motor shaft if loose. Ensure the blade does not contact the shroud.
• Secure panels: Tighten all accessible screws on the cabinet panels and frame. Loose panels can rattle.
• Inspect compressor mounts: Check the rubber grommets under the compressor. If they are cracked or missing, replace them to reduce vibration.
• Remove debris: Clear any foreign objects from the fan housing or base pan.
